Poutine Guy

Poutine Guy was born in the cold hockey arenas of rural Quebec some 25 years ago whilst watching his teenage friends play hockey because, well, he had no real ice talent of his own.

 

Poutine Guy made up for his lack of ice talent and athleticism with an appreciation of what made a good poutine.  It was in this environment where Poutine Guy first met the dish that would consume him and be consumed by him for so many years to come.

 

As those many years turned into decades, Poutine Guy's personality matured in a couple of ways. First, his steadfast refusal to acknowledge anything beyond the tradional gravy poutine melted away. While it is still his favourite, new varieties continue to excite Poutine Guy's palate. And second, his evaluation system would take shape. Rather than simply focus on curds, fries and gravy, as so many others do, Poutine Guy adopted other metrics. The three just mentioned were joined by value-for-money and expectations. This five-point system has become one of the defining features of Poutine Guy.
